The product distribution for the reaction of thermal energy N + ions with O 2 has been measured by ion cyclotron resonance methods. Three product channels are identified with the following fractional distribution: O 2 + + N, 0.65 ± 0.04; NO + + O, 0.31 ± 0.04; O + + NO, 0.04 ± 0.02.
