(AUC 1⁄4 0.911) was obtained using a three-variable model combining perceptual speed, hippocampal volume, and white-matter integrity of the forceps-major tract. Conclusions: This study indicates that using markers from different modalities to predict future dementia can improve the detection of people with increased risk. Global measures showed the best prediction results here. Moreover, adding assessment of white-matter integrity can add unique information to prediction models. However, the added benefit was relatively small and should beweighed against economical and practical aspects when resources are limited.
