The cover picture shows even complex structures can be traced back to the very simple ones. For the new intermetallic compound Ta 7 Cu 10 Ga 34 there is a simple relation to bcc or CsCl type as a 8 × 4 × 2 super structure described by two steps. The first one is a 45° rotation of a Ga 8 cube. The second one is the formation of an orders defect variant: 64 × CsCl → M 64 M ′ 64 → Ta 14 Cu 20 Ga 4 □ 26 Ga 64 → 2 × Ta 7 Cu 10 Ga 34 . Similar principles were already found for other ternary gallium‐rich intermetallics with Cu and a group 5 transition metal. So the structure of Ta 7 Cu 10 Ga 34 continues this series by a new representative with a modified pattern on pp. 350ff.
