Abstract The mobility of a quasi‐two‐dimensional (Q2D) electron system with acoustic deformation potential interaction is calculated within a non‐perturbative treatment of intersubband coupling. In dependence on carrier concentration the mobility shows oscillations at low temperatures which are explained by the Q2D‐character of the density of states. At high temperatures the ordinary bulk behaviour is obtained.
