Abstract Potential theory Green functions for multi‐layer systems with anisotropic dielectric permeability are found. The effect of boundary conditions on the potential and exciton energy properties is studied. In three‐layer systems the decrease in thickness of dielectric layers with electrode‐covered outer surfaces results in the decrease of the absolute value of exciton ground state energy. In fivelayer systems the decrease in thickness of dielectric layers which are bounded by vacuum causes an increase of the absolute value of exciton ground state energy.
