Abstract The electrical conductivity of synthetic crystals of n‐type MoS 2 and p‐type WSe 2 over the range 300 to 870 K are measured at pressures up to 30 kbar. The derived values for the pressure‐dependent activation energies are assessed in terms of existing energy band models.
