Abstract In the molecular field approximation it is shown that there are a random ferromagnetic state, a spin‐glass one and a random antiferromagnetic one, in an Ising magnet with random nearest‐neighbour exchange bonds of different signs. The analytical expressions for the transition temperatures from these states into the paramagnetic ones are obtained. The high‐temperature susceptibility of the system and the susceptibility of the spin‐glass state are investigated as well.
