Abstract Forward Raman scattering at small angles (0.3° < < θ < 0.5°) from a transparent pellet of CuI multi‐crystallites allows to follow the lower polariton branch. The obliquity of the propagation vectors versus the major axes of each zincblende crystallite does not affect the polariton dispersion relation, thus allowing the tracing of the polaritons in the ensemble.
