Infectious diseases continue to threaten the lives of young children in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). Pediatric assessment of anti-infectives for these children should be initiated early. This assessment can center around an iterative dose-selection process that is informed by an integrated prediction platform based on physiologically-based pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PBPK-PD) models.
