Premium polyoxometalates ! The organic functionalization of 3 d‐metalsubstituted polyoxometalates and the synthesis of new metal‐oxo clusters with accessible 3 d‐ and 4 f‐metal centers suitable for organic derivatization are discussed in this thesis. A total number of 39 compounds were structurally characterized, and their luminescent and magnetic properties analyzed. The solution behavior was studied by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and light‐scattering techniques.
