Abstract A microstrip multiplexer circuit using a compact in‐line feed structure is presented and experimentally demonstrated. The multiplexer consists of four edge‐coupled microstrip bandpass filters that are independently designed using any filter synthesis technique. The bandpass filters are interconnected in a sequential manner using specific lengths of transmission line that isolate the filters from one another at the center frequency of their passbands. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
