Abstract A novel wideband coplanar waveguide‐fed double folded‐slot antenna with back ground conductor is proposed and studied. The design considerations for achieving broadband operation of the proposed double folded‐slot antenna are described. Return loss and radiation pattern are measured. The obtained results show that the impedance bandwidth, determined by 10 dB return loss of the proposed double folded‐slot antenna can be greater than 30%, and can be used for the engineering. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
