Abstract A circularly polarized cylindrical dielectric resonance antenna excited by two conformal strips of unequal lengths is studied experimentally. By using unequal strip lengths, two nearly degenerate orthogonal modes are excited and circularly polarized fields are generated. The measured return loss, axial ratio, radiation pattern, and antenna gain of the configuration are discussed. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 29: 348–350, 2001.
