Here, we propose a technique that utilizes a Nipkow disk and an integrating sphere for the fast acquisition of millimeter‐wave images. This technique has the potential for quietly achieving video frame rates. A demonstration of the principle is made in the optical region. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
