In this paper, we study the existence of solutions for damped nonlinear impulsive differential equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions. By using critical point theory and variational methods, we give some new criteria to guarantee that the impulsive problems have at least one solution. Some recent results are extended and significantly improved. Finally, some examples are presented to illustrate our main results. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
