The dihydropyridines S12968 and S12967, two potent and selective calcium channel antagonists, have been labelled with carbon‐11 using no‐carrier‐added [ 11 C]methyl triflate and the dedicated, enantiomerically pure carboxylic acid precursor at 100°C for 1 minute. Based on preliminary PET experiments, only S12968 appears to be suitable for myocardial PET imaging.
