14 C‐Thioflavine T hydrochloride, labelled at the 2‐position of the thiazole ring, is synthesized from 4‐dimethylamino [ 14 CO 2 H]benzoic acid, obtained from Ba 14 CO 3 . The radiochemical yield is 76 %.
