Preparation of the title compound, a key intermediate required to assist in the investigation and development of a new class of substances for controlling coccidiosis, is described. This labeled substance was synthesized in 10 steps, with a 17% overall radiochemical yield, from oxalic‐1,2‐ 14 C acid.
