2, 3‐Diiodo‐5‐t‐butyl‐1, 4‐benzoquinone, an inhibitor of photosynthetic electron transport, was prepared 125 iodinelabelled for studies of its mechanism of action. The synthesis was carried out by reaction of 2,3‐dibromo‐5‐t‐butyl‐1/4‐benzoquinone with Na 125 J.
