2‐Phenyl‐3‐[ p ‐(2‐diethylaminoethoxy)phenyl]‐6‐methoxyindene‐3 14 C hydrochloride was prepared from phenylacetic acid‐1‐ 14 C in a four step sequence of reactions. The final product was obtained in 12.5% yield at a specific activity of 0.79 mCi per mM.
