A Novel Synthesis of ( S )‐(+)‐Glycerol Tosylate Enantiomerically pure ( S )‐(+)‐glycerol tosylate ( 3 ) was prepared from D ‐(+)‐ribono‐γ‐lactone ( 4 ) in 43% overall yield.
