The current density vector field can be projected into a scalar field (the triple product of the current density) without losing the most important information. This scalar field is related to the vorticity of the current density that is a natural measure of the rotation of electronic currents in a magnetic field. With this scalar field, José E. Barquera‐Lozada, in his article on page 2602, defines an aromaticity index (circulation) which can reproduce the Clar's structure of aromatic polycyclic hydrocarbons. DOI: 10.1002/jcc.26018
