A novel nanomaterial that consists of graphene sheets decorated with silsesquioxane molecules has been developed. Aminopropyl‐silsesquioxane (POSS‐NH 2 ) has been employed to functionalize graphene oxide (GO) sheets. The surface grafting of the GO sheets with POSS‐NH 2  was established by IR spectroscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and the morphology was investigated by field‐emission electron microscopy as well as by atomic force microscopy. The combination of amino‐functionalized POSS molecules with GO sheets produces a hybrid silicon/graphite‐based nanomaterial, named GRAPOSS. When exposed to visible light the hybrid showed a photoconductivity response.
