When Sona Andrews was recalled from her Armenian college in Beirut, Lebanon, during her sophomore year due to the imminent Lebanese civil war, her transcripts stayed behind. Although this made transferring difficult, Andrews found a home at Worcester College to complete her bachelor's degree. She next earned both a master's and doctorate at Arizona State University.
