Pure Al and Al alloyed with Mg, Zn, Ge, and Si was quenched from 600°C in water at room temperature or irradiated with fast neutrons. With the help of positron lifetime and angular correlation peak height measurements vacancies, their clustering and their annealing behaviour were studied.
