Key Clinical Message Heparin‐induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) is a prothrombotic state that can affect patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on hemodialysis (HD). This case highlights the potential usefulness of apixaban therapy for patients with HIT and CKD on HD.
