Throughflow drying and conditioning of beds of moist porous solids: A simple method for the quantitative prediction of moisture and temperature fronts

A simple procedure previously developed for the prediction of fixed bed adiabatic sorption operations (Basmadjian, 1980 b ) has been extended to the throughflow drying and conditioning of beds of moist porous solids. The method eliminates time consuming numerical solutions of the model PDE's and yields satisfactory agreement with reported experimental data.
