Magnetism in two-dimensional materials reveals phenomena distinct from bulkmagnetic crystals, with sensitivity to charge doping and electric fields inmonolayer and bilayer van der Waals magnet CrI3. Within the class of layeredmagnets, semiconducting CrSBr stands out by featuring stability under ambientconditions, correlating excitons with magnetic order and thus providing strongmagnon-exciton coupling, and exhibiting peculiar magneto-optics ofexciton-polaritons. Here, we demonstrate that both exciton and magnetictransitions in bilayer and trilayer CrSBr are sensitive to voltage-controlledfield-effect charging, exhibiting bound exciton-charge complexes anddoping-induced metamagnetic transitions. Moreover, we demonstrate how theseunique properties enable optical probes of local magnetic order, visualizingmagnetic domains of competing phases across metamagnetic transitions induced bymagnetic field or electrostatic doping. Our work identifies few-layer CrSBr asa rich platform for exploring collaborative effects of charge, opticalexcitations, and magnetism.
