In our previous work, we estimated the mass of an Abrikosov vortex in anearly optimally doped YBaCuO film at 45 K using circular dichroism atterahertz (THz) frequencies. In this paper, we want to underline the relevanceof our method, propose improvements of our experimental approach, provide adetailed description of the calculations leading to the evaluation of thevortex mass, and present an explanation of its variation with frequency. Wealso partially study the case of a slightly underdoped film deposited on adifferent substrate.
