The paper addresses the challenge of constructing conforming finite elementspaces for high-order differential operators in high dimensions, with a focuson the curl div operator in three dimensions. Tangential-normal continuity isintroduced in order to develop distributional finite element curl divcomplexes. The spaces constructed are applied to discretize a quad curlproblem, demonstrating optimal order of convergence. Furthermore, ahybridization technique is proposed, demonstrating its equivalence tononconforming finite elements and weak Galerkin methods.
