A simple approach to generate high-energy few-cycle optical vortices withminimized topological charge dispersion is introduced. By means of numericalsimulations it is shown that, by leveraging the intrinsic properties of opticalparametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA), clean transfer of topologicalcharge from a high energy narrowband pump pulse to a broadband idler isfeasible under certain particular conditions, enabling the generation ofhigh-energy few-cycle vortex pulses with extremely low topological chargedispersion.
