Magnetic skyrmions, the topological states possessing chiral magneticstructure with non-trivial topology, have been widely investigated as apromising candidate for spintronic devices. They can also couple withsuperconducting vortices to form skyrmion-vortex pairs, hosting Majorana zeromode which is a potential candidate for topological quantum computering. A lotof theoretical proposals have been put forward on constructing skyrmion-vortexpairs in heterostructures of chiral magnet and superconductor. Nevertheless,how to generate skyrmion-vortex pairs in a controllable way experimentallyremains a significant challenge. We have designed a heterostructure of chiralmagnet and superconductor [CoFeB/Ir/Ta]7/Nb in which zero field N\'eel-typeskyrmions can be stabilized and the superconducting vortices can couple withthe skyrmions when Nb is in the superconducting state. We have directlyobserved the formation of skyrmion-superconducting vortex pairs which isdependent on the direction of the applied magnetic field. Our results providean effective method to manipulate the quantum states of skyrmions with the helpof superconducting vortices, which can be used to explore the possibleexistence of Majorana zero mode for future quantum computation.
