It is well known that topologically nontrivial fluctuations, such asinstantons,control the anomalous interactions of mesons in the pseudoscalarmultiplet, $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$, especially for the $\eta$'. We consider theanomalous interactions for mesons with higher spin, the heterochiralpseudovector and pseudotensor nonets with $J^{PC}=1^{+-}$ and $2^{-+}$. Using adilute gas of instantons, we find that the mixing angle between non-strange andstrange mesons decreases strongly as $J$ increases, and oscillates in sign.There are also other anomalous interactions which open up new, albeit rare,decay channels.
