In this work, we present the studies carried out for the production of themonopolium at the LHC in ultraperipheral collisions for the processes $pp$ and$PbPb$. The monopolium is described by the bound state of amonopole-antimonopole pair, and we assume the study of the monopole in thischaracteristic state because the coupling constant is very large, which allowsus to suggest that this exotic particle can be produced in the bound state. Themonopolium is defined by a wave function arising from the numerical solution ofthe Schr\"{o}dinger equation for the modified Cornell potential. We used thephoton fusion production mechanism, with the Weizs\"{a}cker-Williams andDrees-Zeppenfeld expressions to describe the lead and proton equivalent photondistributions. We estimate a high production rate of monopolium production for$pp$ collisions with $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV and $PbPb$ collisions with$\sqrt{s}=5.5$ TeV in LHC.
