The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) is expected to detect a widevariety of gravitational wave sources in the mHz band. Some of these signalswill elude individual detection, instead contributing as confusion noise to oneof several stochastic gravitational-wave backgrounds (SGWBs) -- notablyincluding the `Galactic foreground', a loud signal resulting from thesuperposition of millions of unresolved double white dwarf binaries (DWDs) inthe Milky Way. It is possible that similar, weaker SGWBs will be detectablefrom other DWD populations in the local universe, including the LargeMagellanic Cloud (LMC). We use the Bayesian LISA Inference Package($\tt{BLIP}$) to evaluate the detectability by LISA of an anisotropic SGWBgenerated by unresolved DWDs in the LMC. To do so, we simulate the LMC SGWBfrom a realistic DWD population generated via binary population synthesis,simulate four years of time-domain data with $\tt{BLIP}$ comprised ofstochastic contributions from the LMC SGWB and the LISA detector noise, andanalyze this data with $\tt{BLIP}$'s spherical harmonic anisotropic SGWBsearch. We present results of this analysis and show that the SGWB from DWDs inthe LMC is potentially detectable by LISA.
