Scar states are special finite-energy density, but non-thermal states ofchaotic Hamiltonians. We argue that all holographic quantum field theories,including $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang--Mills, have scar states. Their presenceis tied to the existence of non-topological, horizonless soliton solutions ingravity: oscillons and a novel family of excited boson stars. We demonstratethat these solutions have periodic oscillations in the correlation functionsand posses low-entanglement entropy as expected for scar states. Also we findthat they can be very easily prepared with Euclidean path integral.
