In this article, we consider a model motivated by large ensembles ofnanoparticles' magnetization dynamics using the Fokker-Planck equation andanalyze the underlying parabolic PDE being defined on a smooth, compactmanifold without boundary with respect to time-dependent parameteridentification using regularization schemes. In the context of magneticparticle imaging, possible fields of application can be found includingcalibration procedures improved by time-dependent particle parameters anddynamic tracking of nanoparticle orientation. This results in reconstructingdifferent parameters of interest, such as the applied magnetic field and theparticles' easy axis. These problems are in particular addressed in theaccompanied numerical study.
