This scientific paper aims to study the correlation between the mobile andimmobile dislocation within loaded slip bands observed in situ, shedding lighton the underlying plastic deformation mechanisms. The full Nye latticecurvature tensor was measured using high-resolution electron-backscatterdiffraction (HR-EBSD) to estimate the dislocations density. We observed thatdislocation activities at the slip band were mainly from immobile edgedislocations to maintain the geometrical distortion of the slip band. A burstof dislocations was induced at the slip band associated with hot spots relatedto the intense strain gradient.
