We survey the scalar electroweak multiplets that can originate from a grandunified theory (GUT) like $SU(5)$, $SO(10)$ or $E_6$. We compute the obliqueparameters $S$, $T$ and $U$ for a general scalar electroweak multiplet and thenapply the results to the leptoquark, as well as the color sextet and octetcases, allowed by the GUT survey. Constraints from precision measurement dataof the Standard Model $W$ boson mass and $\rho$ parameter to the masssplittings within each of these multiplets are presented. Extension to generalvector electroweak multiplets is briefly discussed.
