Rapid rotation may exist in physical systems such as non-central heavy ioncollisions and neutron stars. Using functional renormalization group analysisof the quark-meson model, we investigate the effects of real and imaginaryrotation on the chiral phase transition. Our results confirm previous studiesconducted with other model calculations and shed light on the importance ofboundary conditions in the infrared region of the theory.
