This work presents a novel method for reproducing the dynamics of systemswith couplings beyond nearest neighbors using a superconducting quantumprocessor. Quantum simulation of complex quantum many-body systems is apromising short-term goal of noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices.However, the limited connectivity of native qubits hinders the implementationof quantum algorithms that require long-range interactions. We show thatutilizing the universality of quantum processor native gates allows theimplementation of couplings among physically disconnected qubits. Todemonstrate the effectiveness of our method, we implement a quantum simulation,on IBM quantum superconducting processors, of a Floquet-driven quantum spinchain featuring interactions beyond nearest neighbors. Specifically, webenchmark the prethermal stabilization of discrete Floquet time crystallineresponse as the interaction range increases, a phenomenon which was neverexperimentally observed before. Our method enables the study of systems withtunable interaction ranges, opening up new opportunities to explore the physicsof long-range interacting quantum systems.
