The widths of the decays $\tau \to K^- K^+ K^- \nu_\tau$ and $\tau \to K^-K^0 \bar{K}^0 \nu_\tau$ are calculated in the $U(3)\times U(3)$ chiral quarkNJL model. Four channels are considered: contact, axial vector, vector andpseudoscalar channels. It is shown that the dominant contribution is given bythe axial vector channel with an intermediate $\phi$ meson. The obtainedresults are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
