In current research, laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) as a new diagnostic toolis utilized for non-destructive testing of the automotive equipment. LDVtechnique is working based on measurement of the Doppler shift of a movingobject in an interference set-up. The effects of different noises areconsidered and eliminated from data analysis. Here, the performance of LDVtechnique is compared with a reference accelerometer device. Furthermore, asimulation by Matlab Simulink is added to the analysis which confirms theresults of the experimental data. Results demonstrated that the laser Dopplervibrometer can measure excellently the frequencies of different automotivecomponents for employing in industry. Therefore, it is proposed that LDVtechnique can be substituted with other traditional non-destructive testingmethods.
