Mixed Reality (MR) allows users to interact with digital objects in aphysical environment, but several limitations have hampered widespreadadoption. Physiologically adaptive systems detecting user's states can driveinteraction and address these limitations. Here, we highlight potentialusability and interaction limitations in MR and how physiologically adaptivesystems can benefit MR experiences and applications. We specifically addresspotential applications for human factors and operational settings such ashealthcare, education, and entertainment. We further discuss benefits andapplications in light of ethical and privacy concerns. The use ofphysiologically adaptive systems in MR has the potential to revolutionizehuman-computer interactions and provide users with a more personalized andengaging experience.
