As the use of interactive AI systems becomes increasingly prevalent in ourdaily lives, it is crucial to understand how individuals feel when interactingwith such systems. In this work, we investigate the comfort level ofindividuals when interacting with intent-predicting AI systems and identify thefactors of influence. We introduce a study protocol to analyze humancomfortability when interacting with intent-predicting AI systems and executethe study with over a dozen participants. The study findings suggest that usersare comfortable with AI systems if they have control and their privacy is notaffected. Additionally, the study found that users could differentiate betweenAI and human responses, but this did not significantly affect their comfortlevels. This research paper's significance lies in its contribution to thegrowing body of literature on interactive AI systems, and it emphasizes theneed to consider user perceptions in the development and deployment.
