Turnpike phenomena of nonlinear port-Hamiltonian descriptor systems underminimal energy supply are studied. Under assumptions on the smoothness of thesystem nonlinearities, it is shown that the optimal control problem isdissipative with respect to a manifold. Then, under controllabilityassumptions, it is shown that the optimal control problem exhibits a manifoldturnpike property.
