Infrared spectroscopic observations from the ground must be corrected fromtelluric contamination to make them ready for scientific analyses. However,telluric correction is often a tedious process that requires significantexpertise to yield accurate results in a reasonable time frame. To solve theseinconveniences, we present a new method for telluric correction that employs aroughly simultaneous observation of a Vega analog to measure atmospherictransmission. After continuum reconstruction and spectral fitting, the stellarfeatures are removed from the observed Vega-type spectrum and the result isused for cancelling telluric absorption features on science spectra. Thismethod is implemented as TelCorAl (Telluric Correction from Alicante), aPython-based web application with a user-friendly interface, whose beta versionwill be released soon.
