In this paper, the concept of companion subresultant for polynomials in powerbasis is extended to that for polynomials in Newton basis and an explicitformula in the form of determinental polynomial is developed for thegeneralized companion subresultant. It is noted that the resulting subresultantis expressed with the same Newton basis as the input polynomials and it sharesthe essential property with the subresultant in power basis.
