Ultrathin flat meta-optics have shown great promise for holography in recentyears. However, most of the reported meta-optical holograms rely on only phasemodulation and neglect the amplitude information. Modulation of both amplitudeand phase in meta-optics either requires polarization sensitive meta-atoms, orcomplex scatterers with stringent fabrication requirements. Additionally,almost all the meta-optical holograms were measured under laser illumination.Here we adopt the concept of double-phase holography, to reportpolarization-independent holography with both amplitude and phase modulation,using dielectric meta-optics. We validate the implementation of complex phasehologram by measuring an improvement of structural similarity of thereconstructed hologram by ~3x over phase-only holograms. Finally, wedemonstrate that meta-optical holography can also be realized using partiallyincoherent light from a light emitting diode. This observation cansignificantly reduce the alignment complexity and speckles in laser-basedmeta-optical holography.
