With abundant bandwidth resource, the Terahertz band (0.1~THz to 10~THz) isenvisioned as a key technology to realize ultra-high data rates in the 6G andbeyond mobile communication systems. However, moving to the THz band, existingchannel models dedicated for microwave or millimeter-wave bands areineffective. To fill this research gap, extensive channel measurement campaignsand characterizations are necessary. In this paper, using a frequency-domainVector Network Analyzer (VNA)-based sounder, a measurement campaign isconducted in the outdoor atrium of a building in 306-321 GHz band. The measureddata are further processed to obtain the channel transfer functions (CTFs),parameters of multipath components (MPCs), as well as clustering results. Basedon the MPC parameters, the channel characteristics, such as path loss, shadowfading, K-factor, etc., are calculated and analyzed. The extracted channelcharacteristics and numerology are helpful to study channel modeling and guidesystem design for THz communications.
